Grounding Exhibition - Ki Smith Gallery, NYC
Grounding is a collection of works ranging across mediums and featuring artists who are establishing their roots at Ki Smith Gallery. Hand selected by our prestigious panel of judges, the exhibition gives a rare view into distinctive artistic practices varying from intricate bronze work to wall-hanging ceramics. Artworks from 20 international artists each contribute to a comprehensive exploration into environmental spaces and grounded states of being through a diverse range of articulations, spanning subject matter, material composition, and underlying meaning. From Caroline Golden’s intricate architectural collages to Pooja Pawaskar’s fluid and organic sculptures, this multi-dimensional exhibit highlights each artist's individual practice while weaving in a narrative of tranquility and showcasing a profound understanding of materials. The exhibition features artists with established careers and works in museum collections, alongside emerging talents with budding practices.
