The Inspiration

This series of collage portraits depicts the background characters and supporting roles in the fairy tale pantheon--those whose stories never get heard constituting an array of overlooked personalities. Each portrait is mounted on a vintage book cover, some over a hundred years old. The book, now literally deconstructed, is a stage that allows this cast of characters to finally come forth, take their bow and share their stories.
